INOX/Steel: A mixture of 3M Precision Shaped Grain and aluminium oxide which cuts fast and has a long life. This grain cuts cool, ensuring these cut-off wheels work well on heat sensitive metals like stainless steel. These wheels have iron, sulphur and chlorine content <0,1% therefore are suitable for stainless steels. R-Hardness. INOX: Cut-off wheels designed for stainless steel made with aluminium oxide grain. Steel: Cut-off wheels for steel made with aluminium oxide grain. Hard wheel for more life performance. T-Hardness. Non-ferrous: Cut-off wheels specifically designed for aluminium, brass and other non-ferrous materials. Aluminium oxide grain. Soft wheels for good cutting performance. R-Hardness. Foundry: Cut-off wheels designed for foundries, made with aluminia zirconia grain. High life even when in contact with glass and carbide particles in the cast skin. R-Hardness. Cut-off wheels are available in Type 41, Type 42. Type 41 wheels are straight, while Type 42 wheels have a depressed centre. When used with abrasive tools and grinding guards the Type 41 has a closed face and the Type 42 has an open face. Type 41 wheels are typically used vertically, for example cutting table edges while type 42 wheels are often used horizontally for flush-cut applications.
